Over at How To Change The World, Guy Kawasaki (you know, the Mac guy) tossed out a post about a tool called Website Grader. This free tool gives your website a SEO “grade”
I entered in this site’s information and was given, within minutes, a score and a few items where I can improve my site reach to my audience.
based on a few criteria that you enter into the site. Being that I’m always interested in the reach that my website has, I entered in this site’s information and was given, within minutes, a score and a few items where I can improve my site reach to my audience.
It would seem that I have a lot of room for search engine optimization improvement. In other words, my scores were…lacking. I definitely will be working on that presently behind the scenes. Successful networking is certainly something that I am all about these days.
How are you working on SEO? Feel free to email me, or drop me a note in the comments.

You are going to see quite a few new items here on Single Dads. This website, being a labor of love, will go through several changes as more features are incorporated and as it gets ready for Prime Time. There have been many additions to the blogroll, including:
Daddy Types- A weblog for new dads.
Parenting Hacks - Real world parenting tips from actual parents, naturally.
Parenting Ideas - Features practical parenting ideas and tips.
T’mornin’- A single mom’s weblog. She’s a friend of mine. I don’t discriminate against mothers.
ringloss - Another friend’s blog.
Jaxed- A internet culture-oriented blog/website.
Engtech - A great WordPress blog for getting new blogging ideas and techniques. I owe this site a debt of gratitude.
You’ll see posts being removed and things being moved around as we tinker with site design. Hopefully you’ll see couple of new pages appear with some new features. Basically I would like this to be a site that you look forward to reading, and if you have suggestions, please feel free to comment and let me know - I might try to incorporate them into the blog.

Recently I’ve been doing a little guest posting on a website called Shakadoo.com. What do they do? Take a look at their first page:
Shakadoo is a site written and created for those who love their home. Whether you live in a condo or a castle, Shakadoo has a place for you.
Shakadoo has several different “shaks”: the LoanShak, WorkShak, ShakYard, Shaktronics, Shak In Style, Shakhammer and the Love Shak, Baby (love that title). It’s an interesting community that they are trying to build there that I would recommend that you check out.
However, don’t think that my “pro” blogging job will decrease my regular blogging output. You see, I know how to use Google. Ah, the Internet is a wonderful place.
There are some single dads out there that I owe a post to, though. I haven’t forgotten about you. Expect it tomorrow.

I had heard about this website quite a while ago, but for some reason, I didn't remember it and link it. Fortunately, I ran across it again and am determined to correct my error:
featuring - Kiva: From their About Page:
Kiva lets you connect with and loan money to unique small businesses in the developing world. By choosing a business on
Kiva.org, you can "sponsor a business" and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you've sponsored. As loans are repaid, you get your loan money back.
Now, I haven't tried
kiva.org yet, but I intend to do exactly that, and you can bet that once I do, I will blog the experience for everyone. Kiva has had
some remarkable press, but then again, so have quite a few other organizations… some of which turned out to perform, well, quite poorly in the end. I won't post links to those examples, but unless you've lived under a rock for the last three decades, you can probably pick a few busts.
Needless to say,
microfinance sounds like a wonderful idea whose time has come. Become an international financier!

Let’s pay attention, here. There will be a test immediately after this post. For multiple choice responses, only more one (1) of the letters A, B. C, or D with a number two pencil. Essays should be legible, if you need additional paper, raise your hand and your test proctor will issue extra paper to you. As this is a midterm exam, it will only count for 35% of your final grade.
Shall we begin?
Has someone stolen your social security or credit card number? StolenIDSearch is a new site aims to answer this question that has tickled the back of most American’s minds at some point, especially in light of the recent spree of retailer breaches and stolen laptops containing reams of personal information.
StolenIDSearch provides a free online search engine. All you have to do is enter your Social Security Number or credit card number into the box and they’ll look it up to see if it’s on the stolen list.
Now for the bad part. If you’re paying attention, you can see this coming.
Is Stolen ID Search attempting to insinuate that in order to check and see if my social security number or credit card numbers have been stolen, I actually should enter my social security number or credit card number online? Again? Really?
Clark: Gee, Bob, does that seem prudent?
Bob: Hm. Somehow, I don’t think you’ve thought your cunning plan all the way through.

Here you are the most interesting web 2.0 site all over the internet, please if you have more sites add them to the comments
I still don't know what Web 2.0 means though. Is that like a WebX or something? Web to the extreme?
Generation Web?
Doesn't matter. All that I know is that
YouTube,
Weblogs, Inc.,
Digg,
Skype, and whatnot are kind of the future for the Internet. Wise to check out the article and probably bookmark it. I know that I'm waaaaay behind the curve on the proper use of internet tools. If I have some time I'll try to catch up.
